| Galadriel®
was founded in 1984
aiming at the development of solutions for the High Voltage mexican
market.
The most
relevant products are 400,000 Volt one piece shift drive Insulators
for Merlin-Gerin switchgear, bushings reconstruction up to 115,000
Volts, iluminated and opaque spherical fiberglass signaling markers,
fiberglass insulated extension arms and buckets for hot line maintenance,
distribution support insulators, current and voltage sensors for
lines up to 34,500 Volts and vertical insulated lifting buckets.
Galadriel®.
products are named according
to their purpose and the ending "driel",
for example:.

Silidriel
started after our R & D Dept. began the study of a silicone elastomer
that would help in the failure rate reduction due to contamination
in High Voltage Insulators.
Silicone
grease was used in the past to avoid pollution and in a short
time had to be replaced. Cleaning it was messy and expensive.
Our
goal was a better product, easy to apply, long lasting, maintenance
free, and easy to clean. Silidriel
emerges after months of development with the support of specialized
institutions. Up to now, we have more than 200 full job applications
in lines and substations in high pollution zones, with some applications
in Argentina and Chile.
Silidriel
gives name to our main service branch, Aplicaciones
Silidriel S.A. de C.V.
Aplicaciones
Silidriel S.A. de C.V.
is the only company in Mexico totally integrated to protect
porcelain insulation in very high pollution zones.
In Silidriel we
study the needs of each one of our clients to apply effective
solutions to avoid failures in high voltage insulators; wash them
previously, even if they are energized, regardless of Voltage
rating.
